Overnight Oats

  • Author: Kim Nicholson

Ingredients

Scale

1/2 cup rolled oats

One tablespoon of chia seeds

One cup of almond milk (unsweetened)

One tablespoon of honey or maple syrup (optional)

Fresh fruits, nuts, or granola for toppings (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine the rolled oats and chia seeds in a jar or container with a lid.
  2. Pour in the almond milk and stir well to combine. If desired, add honey or maple syrup for sweetness and mix again.
  3. Close the lid tightly and refrigerate the mixture overnight, or for at least 4 hours, to allow the oats and chia seeds to absorb the liquid and soften.
  4. In the morning, give the mixture a good stir. If it’s too thick, add more almond milk to achieve your desired consistency.
  5. Top the overnight oats with your favorite fresh fruits, nuts, or granola for added flavor and texture.
  6. Enjoy your delicious and nutritious almond milk and chia seed overnight oats!
