Is a Negative Calorie Food a Real Thing?

 

Okay, we know there has been no official siting of Big Foot or the Lochness Monster, but have you heard the buzz about Negative calorie foods lately?

Could it be?

According to the Mayo Clinic, there are no reputable scientific studies to prove that certain foods have a negative calorie effect; in other words, foods that have a very low-calorie count and, by chewing and digesting, would create a negative calorie. Darn, I wish it were true!

Please don’t give up on these negative calorie foods; they give your body some important nutrients. And if your lifestyle is moderately active, you can eat all the no-calorie foods you want with minimal weight gain.
