Are you ready to learn how to make the best honey garlic salmon recipe?

It’s so simple and has only a few main ingredients! All you need is a whole side of salmon, some honey, garlic, and oil. Yes, that’s it! No more complicated recipes that take hours to prepare! You can’t go wrong with this one.

This easy dinner will be a hit with the entire family. It takes less than 20 minutes from start to finish, and there is no mess to clean up! It’s perfect for busy weeknights or weekends when you don’t want to spend hours making dinner. The kids will love helping out, too, since it requires minimal effort on their part (pour everything into a bowl).

The best part about this recipe is that you can use it repeatedly for other meals like chicken breast or shrimp skewers. Just add your favorite protein instead of salmon, and you’re set!

Ingredients

Scale

1.52 lb salmon

1/3 cup honey

4 large cloves of garlic, crushed

3 tablespoons ofย  soy sauce (I prefer the dark soy sauce)

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (juice of 1/2 a lemon)

2 tablespoons of chicken broth

Avocado Oil – the amount depends on the size of your salmon; you want to drizzle the oil over fish

Sea salt, to taste

Cracked pepper, to taste (optional)

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Lemon slices

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400F.

Clean and prep/pat dry/cut salmon.

Prepare your seasoning mixture by mixing together.

Prepare sauce by mixing honey, chicken broth, soy sauce, garlic. Tip – warming up honey for a few seconds in the microwave, will soften the honey.

Place the salmon, in an oven-safe dish. Note – you can place salmon in foil, to make clean-up easier!

Drizzle the avocado oil over the fish. Be sure to rub it over the entire fish, no need to rub it over the skin.

Add all seasonings on top of the oil. Again, be sure to spread the seasonings over the entire fish.

Pout the sauce mixture and baste it over the salmon.

Top with lemon slices.(optional)

Place the salmon in the oven to cook at 400F for 15-18 minutes. (I always check the fish with a fork for doneness, I like my salmon with a rare inside, so I bake my fish for only 15 minutes.)

After you bake your salmon, broil the salmon for 2 minutes, this will help carmelize the honey on top of the fish for extra goodness!

Notes

I love to serve this delicious salmon with small golden potatoes, zucchini medley (recipe included on the site), and a green salad.
