Fall Fruit Sangria
Fall bounty is winding down this year, but you will still find excellent fall harvest at your local farmer’s markets and grocery stores. The fall fruit makes an excellent companion for pinot noir.
1 Apple, chopped into bite-size pieces
1 persimmon chopped into bite-size pieces
1/2 cup of orange liqueur
Juice of 1 lemon
1 bottle of pinot noir
1 orange slice for garnish
Combine fruit, orange liqueur, lemon juice, and wine in a pitcher.
Stir and refrigerate overnight.
When ready to serve, fill up to 6 wine glasses with ice and pour sangria over ice, leaving some room to top with sparkling water.
Stir gently and garnish with an orange slice
